While the amount of caffeine in any product (brewed coffee, black tea, hot cocoa and chocolates, cola or other soda pop, energy drink, etc.) varies, none of us wants to run around for ten lunar months with a checklist and calculator to be sure we're keeping within acceptable limits.
The rule of thumb that was used during my pregnancies was no more than three regular sized cups of tea or coffee. If you have a favourite drink, find out how much caffeine it contains, so you will know how many cups a day are safe for you and your baby. There are some general guidelines, but you can also look on packages or ask at your local cafe. Herbal tea in menopause can reduce some symptoms.
